The opening of new banks is an indication that business is really good here. Today, Kabankalan has the most number of banks outside the capital city of Bacolod.

Gaisano Super Kiosk Kabankalan is one of the proof that indeed this once sleepy town has become the center of commerce in this part of the province. First it was Lopues Department Store that opened a branch here in the 90's followed by Big Ben and Unitop, the locals are hopeful they'll soon have SM and Robinsons here.

The Public Plaza is one of the attraction when you visit this bustling city in Southern Negros. Landscaped gardens and huge acacia trees welcome the visitors upon entering the place. Lots of locals stay here to enjoy the cool breeze under the century old trees lined up at the center of the plaza.
