Fellowship Baptist College Kabankalan has grown from just a small high school to the biggest tertiary educational institution in Southern Negros. At present they offer Nursing, Engineering and other business courses that made them the best alternative to expensive universities in Bacolod City.

The opening of new banks is an indication that business is really good here. Today, Kabankalan has the most number of banks outside the capital city of Bacolod.

Gaisano Super Kiosk Kabankalan is one of the proof that indeed this once sleepy town has become the center of commerce in this part of the province. First it was Lopues Department Store that opened a branch here in the 90's followed by Big Ben and Unitop, the locals are hopeful they'll soon have SM and Robinsons here.
